Robyn’s late 2010 LP, Body Talk was given a hot in the arm this weekend and was invited to play SNL. The Scandinavian pop veteran brought two of Body Talk‘s best tracks – “Call Your Girlfriend” and “Dancing On My Own” – to the stage, in her usual quirky pixie-in-spandex getup. Watch below:

U.K. folk rockers Noah And The Whale recently released their third record, Last Night on Earth, and have been on the concert circuit ever since. The boys just stopped by BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge to perform an interesting rendition of Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend,” from last year’s exhilarating Body Talk album, dubbed here as “Call Your Boyfriend.”

Why is it that “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall” sounds less shitty when Robyn sings it? In fact, it sounds like your typical Robyn track. There is probably some psychological sexism going on in the background here, but no matter, Robyn’s cover of “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall” sounds great, like an outtake from her Body Talk LP.

Rye Rye and Robyn have released a video for their duet, “Never Will Be Mine” — which lifts its hook from Robyn’s 2005 chantey “Be Mine!” Other than a few remarkably colorful wardrobe choices, the video is pretty straight forward. The song, however, still reeks of summer and is definitely worth sitting through a cookie-cutter clip.

NEET Records signee and M.I.A. protege Rye Rye is prepping the release of the second official single from her long-delayed debut Go! Bang! Pop! The Robyn assisted “Never Will Be Mine,” is a fairly safe single — even compared to her M.I.A.-featuring, summery “Sunshine” — not sounding unlike Nicki Minaj’s break out hit “Your Love”. The track borrows its hook from Robyn’s mid-Aughts classic “Be Mine” from her self-titled 2005 LP.
