Win Win is the new side project from XXXChange and Devlin, one of Spank Rock‘s tour DJs, and their track ‘VICTIM’ has been picked up by Scion A/V for a sweet little remix package from our homie Them Jeans, Gigamesh, and a couple others. Cheers to Scion for giving us the premiere!

Only twelve days left till one of the most anticipated albums of the year is set to drop, TV On The Radio‘s return to the forum since the triumphant Dear Science,. Thus far, we’ve heard the beautiful ballad “Will Do” and the heavy bad ass “Caffeinated Consciousness” from Nine Types Of Light, and now Spank Rock and WIN WIN contributor XXXChange has remixed the former into a bumping dance hall jam.

win win are the brainchild of xxxchange (spank rock producer) and life bud chris devlin of devlin & darko, together they make music from the future, of clashy sounds and breathing rythm.

the self titled ‘win win’ album isn’t really of the sorts featuring extended part 1/2 tracks, mixes, interludes and guest vocals all roped together into a seemingly clear release.

having been picked up by the vice label and already complimentary of the band/group the sounds are something else, the debut single ‘release rpm’ burned ears but i found myself constantly re-listening to ‘interlead’ feat alexis of hot chip, ‘not too late pt 2′ and ‘the nature of transcendent forces’ more then anything.

WIN WIN is a new project fronted by Spank Rock producer XXXChange (who earlier this year crafted a wicked rendition of Yeasayer’s “O.N.E.”), DJ Chris Devlin, and visual artist Ghostdad. The group’s first single “Releaserpm” features the vibrant yet obscure vocal talents of Gang Gang Dance’s Lizzie Bougatsos. Familiar to XXXChange’s modus operandi, “Releaserpm” explores the fusion of eccentric electronica beats mixed with tropical steel drums and colourful synths. WIN WIN’s self titled debut is set to come out February 15 via Vice, and will include cameo appearances from Andrew W.K., Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor, and Spank Rock’s Naeem.
