MUMS OF DEATH GOLDEN AXE EP

Mums of Death is the side project of true grimester Mumdance and hard dance scot Drums of Death, together they found their love of old video games and formulated the ‘Golden Axe’ ep.

Blending 8-bit and bassline it stands true to a retro sound and feel with standout and title track ‘Golden Axe’, along with b-sides ‘Loading Sequence’ and ‘Shadow of a Beast’ adding throwback frustration and accomplishment from the good old days!

The official video just dropped as well, a hilarious 8-bit story with a viking bro dropping into a club fed by a ‘magical pill’ and taking charge of the decks.

Sleep is for the Weak

I gotta admit I had a bit of a chuckle when I saw the video for SHWAYZE - Get U Home (VIKING remix); quality soft-core is always soooo much better than good ol' hardcore! I'm not gonna say much more about the video because you have to see it...and that's that! I really dig VIKING's remix simply because it throws the concept of the song right into your face with massive Electro basslines. Definitely worth including in your set and demos....
Another VIKING remix you absolutely HAVE HAVE HAVE to own is his contribution to The Sounds' "No One Sleeps When I'm Awake"....you may think it starts out very happy and electro-generic, but you got another thing comin. It's fuckin sick. Straight up, people. I'm kinda sad that I found out about it late-ish, but hey, better late than never, right? Reminds me of when I discovered Red Hot Chili Peppers' "If You Want Me To Stay" (I'm not sharing this one, because I want you ALL to go out and buy "Freaky Stylely")....and with all these tunes, i hope you have a good day, and remember it's flu season, so grab a coat and wash your hands often...
