Vancouver sound-adventurers No Gold have let-go the delicate new dub-fused jam “Good and Bad” – just premiered on Fader.
With haunting organs, thuddy bass and Whomadewho-esque vocals, the band step away from the previous tropi-cool vibes and down a more austere route.
Jack had already mentioned the possibility of the sound-change mid last year so its exciting to see the fruition and execution!
A not really new, actually track from Blood Diamonds that tickled me so lovingly, I just had to post it up.

This Canadian fella has been a little bit quiet through the second half of 2011, but this was a timely little reminder of why we love BD’s erratic interpretation of dreamwave’s standard tropes.

Our East Vancouver homie Vincent Parker has a new album, aptly titled RESPECANIZE part one.
His site describes it as psychedelic blissed out power bass music which means he wants you to get high listening to it.
He’s obviously lost his mind and is giving it away for free on the bandcamps.
Vincent plays the Rickshaw December 2nd.

How legendary is the Legendary Long Weekend series?
Well, Vancouver promotion crew Intimate Productions have been throwing the first rate bashes for 8 years. And while they usually try to showcase local Vancouver DJs and artists, they’re occasionally tempted with truly international acts they can’t refuse. Some of the highlights from past LLW parties include Booka Shade, DJ T, Matthew Dear aka Audion, Z-Trip, Carl Craig and Kevin Saunderson.
This Thursday, Nov.10th the party is LAST CALL FOR 2011 and is hosted at the spectacular Waldorf Hotel which is easily the best venue I’ve been too since moving here in July. It allows for 4 separate rooms with different vibes in each. Here’s rundown of what each room with be offering this Thurday:
