We’ve been getting a lot of uninspiring quote-unquote electro bangers lately, which for some might be okay, but I thought everyone grew tired of that sound in 2008.

Anyway, without intentionally pissing people off, especially those gracious enough to send us their work, it’s always nice to hear something with a bit more substance. It’s even better when we get tunes that bring us back to our youth – reminiscent of those secret warehouse parties in the early to mid nineties. Despite the cold, mechanical tone, this remix (and the genre as a whole) has soul.

Nobody Beats the Drums – Their debut album ‘Beats Work ” brought them from America to Russia and from Morocco to Turkey. But what is less known, is that in recent years the band has also made remixes for others artists.

The remix-album, called ‘Remixes We Did’ will be released next week (February 2011). The tracklist contains remixes for TWR72, Giovanca, Etienne de Crecy, Zuco103, Jack Parow, Shameboy, Distrakt, Kensington, Boemklatsch, Mightyfools, Aux Raus and Jaimie Fanatic.

In the mean time, the boys are now working on a new studio album which will be released later this year.
