Jack White – “Love is Blindness” (U2 Cover)

10 11 2011

As you probably could have predicted, the White Stripes’ recent breakup didn’t put a damper on Jack White’s impossibly prolific churning out of jams. As you probably couldn’t have predicted, the latest channel for his blues-inspired soul-rock shredding is Q Magazine’s tribute to U2’s Achtung Baby, 20 years old this year.

Previously Unreleased White Stripes – “Signed D.C.” & “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long”

07 14 2011

Ever since Jack and Meg announced their official split, fans have spent hours upon hours mourning and hoping that this was all just some kind of twisted and cruel joke. But as time moves forward it appears that a “we were just playing” statement is quite unlikely (at the moment).

Remix Fix.

02 07 2011

How cool is this guy? Not as cool as a Dirt Babe but he’s pretty close. Anyway, here are some tracks that friends have shot over to me in the last week. Give them a listen and have a great week everybody. PS – if anyone can find out where to buy his hat let me know. I’ll trade you for a T-shirt when we get them in.

The White Stripes – Seven Nation Army (The Glitch Mob Remix)
Any remix of this song is catchy. This one is also glitchy.

Dada Life – White Noise/Red Meat (No Body’s Moombahton Remix)
All slowed down and groovy from our friends, No Body. Not a big fan of Moombahton, but this one has definitely grown on me.

Noah And The Whale – L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N. (Fake Blood Remix)
Thought this was fake Fake Blood when it got sent to me, but it actually seems to have the Theo swagger in it for sure. Not my favorite FB track, but still one for the arsenal.

RJD2 – The Glow (Run DMT Remix)
New dubstep track sent over by our homies at Undocumented Management. Run DMT have recently been added to the Undocumented roster and are giving away their entire new EP, Blast Off, for free HERE.

The Knocks – Dancing With The DJ (Jesse Marco Remix)
Our homies from Chubby Beavers sent this one over last week. NY resident Jesse Marco has been making some serious waves recently, so make sure to check on Chubby Beavers for more tracks from Jesse as well as news on his development.

Drop It 12

07 08 2010

via Baubauhaus

I don’t know how it is where you live but here it is summer and the sun is shining hard. I’m leaving to France in couple days, gonna enjoy the  summer even more, far away from the internet.. I thought it’s good time to pop some new tracks out there. I’ve been getting tons of messages the past few days. I really can’t keep up with them. But here’s a selection of my personal favorites. I bet you dig them to.

We start of with a brand new production by Graphics. If you’re a frequent phase02 reader you should already know him. Read more here and get his Naked Mario Kart remix here. He’s truly a huge talent and still very very young.

Stinger – Pleasure (Graphics Remix)

Next I’d like to share this Ellie Goulding drum ‘n bass remix by Messed. I love it because it reminds me of beautiful sunset moments on the beach. Enjoy.

Ellie Goulding – Lights (Messed Remix)

Kinetica Records has released “Boys & Girls” by Drlkt Freddie. Here’s the Disco Damage remix. You can find additional remixes by DJ Wool, Killer on The Dancfloor and Sick Boy over at Beatport.

Drlkt Freddie – Boys & Girls (Disco Damage Remix)

Don Diablo has created a crazy mash up with probably his most successful track “Who’s Your Daddy” and “Seven Nation Army” by the White stripes. Just have to listen to believe it. It’s probably been launched in the blogosphere by tons of other sites already. But here it is anyway.

Don Diablo vs. The White Stripes – Seven Nation Daddy

I’d like to end with this relaxing sound by VeemanJanssen.

VeemanJanssen – Put The Flage On

I wish you all an amazing summer. Let me know what you think about the tunes and what ya plans are for the next few (hopefully) sunny months.

Pitbull – Can’t Stop Me Now (new video!)

06 14 2010

It's at this moment in which I go back and revisit Pitbull's extremely listenable and highly entertaining release, Rebelution. Last September, I "twack marked" the disc (I should really start that back up again), and Can't Stop Me Now was  the highest rated of the album cuts. Now with a new video clip for said song, I'm ready to rock all night with Papi Pit once again.

Enlisting vocal and backing band assistance from Liz Rodrigues and her troupe, The New Royales, Pitbull sizzles over a driving beat that samples The White Stripes' Seven Nation Army.

I love the song, the video is sexy, and the only think I find odd is that the rapper is prepping the release of his all-Spanish full-length, Armando, in 2 weeks (June 29 via Sony) and he's still repping for the tracks on last year's late summer offering. No mind though...because I got you boo.

Watch the video now.
