French duo, Mustard Pimp, will be releasing their new single, ZHM, on Dim Mak Records on July 5th, with a gang of top tier remixes being released two weeks later on the 19th. With remixes coming from the likes of Dada Life, Tom Staar, Geht’s Noch?, The Subs, and Cyberpunkers, I’m sure this track will get a whole lot of attention this summer. The Subs are Jeroen De Pessemier aka Papillon (singer/producer), Wiebe Loccufier aka Tonic (half of dj-duo Starski & Tonic, heirs to the Culture Club-throne, as they took over the residency spot at the infamous Ghent club from 2 ManyDJs and The Glimmers) and Stefan Bracke aka l’entrepreneur (deejaying with The Subs and fronting his raverockband Foxylane).

The best way to describe mood of the Subs music is intense and brooding. They are not a crew to steer away from euphoric peaks and melancholy-melodic moments!

Their latest release “The face of the planet”, pretty much sums up the music coming out of Belgium at the moment. It took 2 second for me to realise this is going to be a huge track. Competing with Swedish House Mafia’s ‘one’.

Pony Pony Run Run had the best idea to help promote there new release, You Need Pony Pony Run Run. They had their lead single remixed by a ton of the hottest names in the scene and then gave it away for free. The track “Walking On a Line” features remixes from French Fries, Highbloo, Mikix The Cat, Raziek, Beataucue, Lifelike, Blata & Inesha, The Subs, and Surfing Leon. There’s something for everyone on the remix collection, from raved-up electro house to accordion-fueled booty beats to popped up dubstep to… Well, you get the idea. Autant vous dire que du moment que la 3G passe, ça tweet/facebook à fond les ballons. A l’occasion de la nomination de Pony Pony Run Run aux Victoires la musique 2010, le label a multiplié les opé : un beau clip, un concours de remix allongé exceptionnellement jusqu’au 26 avril, un concours Pony Pony Run Run en concert… chez moi. Une série de remix officiels a été lancée : Blatta & Inesha, Beataucue, Rafale, MiKiX The Cat, Lifelike, French Fries, Raziek, High Bloo, The Subs, Surfing Leons… On inaugure.

The Subs are by  no means a new band. I’ve been playing out their tracks ever since I first heard “Fuck That Shit.” Their most recent single, Mitsubitchi isn’t the newest thing by them but this remix is. Thank Joe Pesci that Bob Rifo (you know, that cat from The BB’s) has decided to put his touch on this redonkulous track to make it even crazier!  It’s going to kill homeless people, and rape minors on the dance floor. Be assured, people are going to sex to this. That’s right, I said it – People are going to SEX to this. I posted the video, if you want the track go buy it on Beatport – or whatever other music purchasing site you use!
