The Bang Bang Club – Chemistry (new video!)

04 21 2010

Back in early March, I got slapped with a dose of new tuneage from The Bang Bang Club. Hitting me with their first official single, Chemistry (and it’s subsequent remixes), I legitimately fell hard and fast for this poptastic duo. Seriously, the Seamus Haji mix of the track is/was one of most played tracks from the past month plus, and it never fails to make me toss out a few furious fist pumps when the opening beat hits.

With the official release date of the single approaching (it’s May 25…in case you were wondering), the lads have tossed us their video for the track.

It’s sleek and stylish, it’s all black and white…oh wait! Then it gets splashed with some rad colors. We’re digging it.

Give it a go below.

Introducing: The Bang Bang Club

03 03 2010

It's been a while since I've featured a band with the preface of "introducing". This morning, we were gifted with the perfect opportunity to do so when the debut single from The Bang Bang Club popped up in our inbox.

TBBC is as much a band as it is a philosophy of sorts; fusing fashion, music and art. Prior to the formation of their collaborative effort, the blokes formed The House of Blue Eyes - a Warhol-esque collective of artists, performers, and designers, who will all be in tow to help create visuals to supplement their catchy pop tunes.

The Bang Bang Club will officially open for business on May 3, when the boys release their debut single, Chemistry. Remixes from Digital Dog and Seamus Haji will be included, and we love this entire package 100%. Perfect way to get you moving this morning!

Not only do John and Dave make guiltless pop pleasures, but get this, they're witty to boot. We swoon! Here's what they have to say about their creation/name..."The Bang Bang Club is not a real club, but if it was, it’d be a bloody good one. It’s not a tribute to the group of apartheid photographers with whom they share their name. In truth, they just liked the word "bang".

That, for us, is a win right there. Bang on, boys...bang on, indeed.
