It’s always interesting when some of the world’s biggest pop stars love the same bands you do; I still remember the helter skelter rush of emotions I experienced when I saw a photo of Britney Spears walking out the gym with a copy of Radiohead’s In Rainbows in her hand, or when Beyonce mentioned a desire to work with of Montreal on her next album, or even when Jay-Z hoped that the “incredible” Grizzly Bear and their “indie rock movement” will push rap. And now, the most lovable She-Wolf, FIFA songbird, and overall voluptuous beauty, Shakira has covered The xx‘s “Islands” in the studio, possibly for an upcoming album.

The French House Gods may have pushed back their Tron Legacy Soundtrack by two weeks to a December 7 release, but good news comes not only in a form of a 90-second song clip, but a video game. That’s right, you can also expect new Daft Punk music on the new Tron: Evolution video game, also out December 7. Hopefully this new clip Team Tron posted onto the internet, “The Game Has Changed,” will keep your bars in the green until December 7 (can we official dub that “Daft Punk Day” now?). Kelis doing La Roux’s In For the Kill? Yes, please and thank you. Almost kind of wish this was her song to begin with, because her husky vocals fit this acoustic version like a glove.
