The idea of a mob in suits and Wayfarers tracking you down is not exactly pleasant. I’m sure Peter O’Grady realized this somewhere between his first and second release on Paul Rose’s Hotflush label. Of course, back in 2009 we were all too busy picking our jaws up from the floor with Hyph Mngo to be seriously concerned with what Mr. Orbison Sr. was thinking. In any case, O’Grady left the “rbison” behind when putting out Wade In / Jels, but whatever he has saved in typography expenses, he’s made up for in house music cred.

No more clever puns and two-step experiments, this is straight up house music leaning towards a slightly more tech-y sound than his previous output. So put on the dark sunglasses and bop away, because Joy O still means business.
