Dutch maestros Mightyfools are on the shark attack with their newly released ep on Lektroluv! Soundwise it’s difficult to describe what they stick to. They draw inspiration from multiple genres that go from rock to rnb to funk and making a huge crossover between house, techno, disco, electro and of course their famous big baselines. but this Rico Tubbs remix is easy to define genre wise. Dubstep. a show stopping house turned dub tune to mess with your head.

Yep, that's KA SO RE, and bring on the avalanche of swoonery, because this Helsinki-based duo play some of the most unique modern and dark indie-disco. Having already conquered and stirred Finnish venues and audiences, this pair's progressive and intensive arrangements leaves no breathing room for boredom...so we're showing 'em some Stateside love. And you should too.
Established in 2008, KA SO RE is Juuso Malin and Henri Seger, whose musical influences stem from French disco house and 80s new wave from the 1980s. Creating one of the most light-hearted maxi releases of the upcoming summer is KA SO RE's Bunnies. Cute!
This being their first effort since 2008's debut EP, Petite, the boys will release the long-awaited single on June 9 via GAEA Records. The B-side of the 12” vinyl includes two remixes by Rico Tubbs and Helsinki 78-82, who have both carved a name for themselves internationally.
Funky bass lines, squealing synths and a generous dose of hand-clapping make Bunnies beast-approved! Buy the single here.

when in doubt look back, way back, somewhere around the 80’s when the pointer sisters dropped ‘dare you’ on the populous. fast forward to 2k10 (yes we’re still alive) and bass-man rico tubbs has gone dunnit and sampled the tune and thrown some jelly-wobble on top.

side note this was a freebie to promote tomb crews ‘inna dat’ release on bass=win, go get it here.

Not much to say today about this post but that post is pretty eclectic unlike most of my other posts its not full of all bangers. Decided to change it up a little bit and give you guys a little diversity. Check’ em out and if you like them show your friends; Sharing is Caring after all…
• TV Radio – In The Air (A1 Bassline Remix)
• TV Radio – In The Air (Grum Remix)
I couldn’t decide which remix to post so I just decided to post both. Each one is awesome in its own way and show each of the producers completely different styles. I think this is a perfect way to start off this grab bag of a post. If you know whats good for you will download both ASAP
• Bassmusic- Hold That Sucker Down (Rico Tubbs Remix)
This remix offers a departure from Rico Tubbs usual fidget house into the world of Dubstep. It definitely is different from any track I had heard from him previously. Shows he has the ability to move acrossed genres, pretty impressive.
• 2 pac- California Love (Funk D Bootleg)
Very impressive remix. Does a great job make this gangsta rap classic into a dancefloor smash.
• Junior Sanchez Feat. Good Charlotte- Elevator (Nari & Milani Remix)
I was really hesitant when I first saw that Good Charlotte was on this track. Never been a fan, hopefully never will be. But this Remix has a great vibe to it and something about this definitely has been grabbing my attention over the past few weeks. Check it out, its legit.

The original Playboy Anthem from was on our Scion sampler and now it is time for Top Billin to release the remix EP.
“Ealier this year we were asked to do a track for the Scion/Discobelle free compliation and could not use samples. So we think wtf, what do we do now. Made a disco beat, called our boy So Hot It Hurts, who always puts down fun lyrics and came up with Playboy Anthem. HIPHOUSE FOR THE NEW GENERATION. The tune became an instant classic and tells a true story too, when SHIH was working at a golf club, bored and trying to get his swing on.
And here it is now as a single with remixes from our fun-loving friends from Brazil to Canada, France to Australia and so on.
Remixes come from Smalltown Romeo, Rico Tubbs, Joyce Muniz & Shanti Roots, DJ Edgar, DJ Beware & Motorpitch, Act Yo Age, and the Bootycall boys, Marvy & Captain Cadillac. We we’re supposed to put the instrumental of the original there too, but can’t find it anywhere.”

I worry these plalists devalue the worth of each individual track listed. Each tune here deserves a post each. But... there are other consideration a blogger must take into account ... such as the superficial allure of web traffic...
Despite a gravity-defying quif that reaches from here to Shoreditch, La Roux has a beautiful, swooning voice tha makes her tunes perfect remix material. Skream, Zinc, Tepr and now Jack Beats have made superb efforts. Jack Beats’ jumpy house beats lead into the obligatory jon wonkery. It’s a real grower:
It’s been a while since Mr 8-bit’s been seen around these parts, though i was recently sent Baltic Pine the infectiously melodic Baltic Alpine and foolishly slept on it. Unlike some of his contemporaries and consorts (Herve, jack Beats, etc.) his productions are still thoroughly unpredictable (come on, that Jack Beats’ wobble is getting a little boring now and UFO takes it to a whole new level of silliness). However Jack Beats’ remix of Florence & The Machine is also a very mature take with techy clicks and clacks. But Mr 8-bit’s produced a sublime moodiness around those vocals with some lovely woody percussive beats:

I was surprised to see that this inventive Hot Chip remix slipped past me. I found it at the end of Round Table Knights’ Spring mixtape. Plucky strings and eerie clicks pitter and patter around slowly hummed vocals. A stunning remix:
Yolanda Be Cool - a welcome new addition to Ajax’s ‘Sweat It Out’ label – are handing out the chirpy ‘Afro Nuts’ to the blogs and it does exactly what it says on the tin: all jungle vibes, African rhythms and tropical congas. It samples Plan B’s 'Frikitona' and the label’s coined it ‘party-tech’ – it’s certainly alot of fun:
