Exclusive remix here for all you lovely people out there handed in by local/international hero Knightlife. Took a while to post sorry…
Basically Priors, a duo consisting of french housers Raw Man and the singer from Modjo, asked KL to treat their average new tune. The mix he sent back wasn’t ‘Knightlife enough’ and thus left this tough little gem in the air.
I dig this, bar the untreated vocals which can only be Priors problem.
hot on the heels of new music, we’re in close pursuit of fresh stuff. fresh like all the fresh foods diving down the esophaguses of the poor young ladies in grum’s new music video. after watching the flick (certain things need not be shared) let’s just say i dont think i’ll look be looking at girls and spaghetti+meatballs the same way for a little while
unfortunately i can’t share anything off of grum’s new single, but can provide my favorite remix off the package in the streaming audio playa above. out of all the remixes, australia’s beaumont hit me best. something about the pads that play over the chorus is terribly addicting. i bet i’ll find at least a few of you hangin around here listening to this on repeat. no need to worry, the single+remixes release in just a month off of heartbeats. check the beatport for more
and in case this slipped past you, i think the grum remix of priors is an absolute essential if you loved the original of what you need, as well as this tv rock remix. always a sucker for some high energy music. make sure to show appropriate love to all artists involved if you like what you hear

Ever since I first heard his remix of ANORAAK’s“Nightdrive With You” back in 2008, UK’s GRUM has been near the top of my watchlist and consistently delivers quality tracks. Time can be cruel to hot bangers but sizzling nu disco gems like these seem to hold up over the years. Check out GRUM in San Francisco on May 7 at Mighty.
So, we’ve been here before. Yet another post for Priors and their track ‘What You Need’, it seems like it’s taken an age but it’s finally getting it’s release via the Eye Industries label. Got some new remixes for you to hear, so much goodness.
Grum shows a delicate side with his remix, it’s not in your face like you’d expect, very cute. DCUP brings some romantic disco vibes to track (it’s my favourite of the new mixes) and Allen Walker’s ‘ReWrite’ is like a nice little reprise of the original track.
Alright, so throughout the year of 2009, I missed some vital tracks. And I’ll admit that some of these tracks, I actually fully listened to and completely brushed off. Not to mention that I failed to submit to The Hype Machine 2009 Zeitgeist, although that was optionally because I could’ve never compiled a proper Top 10 list for albums anyways. Do you know how hard it was last year for me to put one together? So these are three big tracks I missed. I actually heard this track at a club after New Years, and it was so familiar but I could place it. It’s cause I never posted it! The A-Trak remix of Yeah Yeah YeahsHeads Will Roll. The track has some amazing parts in it, but there were some parts which were slightly repetitive which I can see why it might’ve been a tiny bit off-putting the first time around. But I can’t figure out, with an intro like that how I could’ve not posted it. Secondly, the Hey Champ remix of the Priors. Posted a couple Hey Champ remixes this year, always great stuff coming from them. Lastly, the Diplo remix of Feist‘s I Feel It All which I think I missed altogether. Don’t even really recognize it, in my defense it was released in late 2008, so it passed through two of my lists.
