New sounds from the Cutters record label (and apparently with plenty more in store…), this time with Knightlife introducing his third single/release “Serves You Right”. Containing two originals of a fresh disco/house vibe that will guarantee to destroy a dancefloor + an Emperor Machine remix of the title track to boot.
This single is available now to purchase on vinyl from Juno / Phonica. Oh, and here’s a special treat for a download — courtesy of the Cutter’s boss:
Knightlife – Serves You Right
There is also an 8-track EP forged by Knightlife yet again titled “I Want You”, set to be free into the open very soon as well. The mysterious vocalist that features on ‘Serves You Right’, known as ‘AP’ has become, in some sense, a muse on the project. The “I Want You” EP is already on Juno Download, a place-holder for the task of being an email reminder for those that need to be in the know – scheduled for a release late this month.
To celebrate all this madness and mayhem, over the course of the next two weeks sees two Cutters “new release(s)” launch parties (check the flyer in the gallery contained in this post).
KNIGHTLIFE EP LAUNCH PARTIES::
MELBOURNE – FRIDAY NOV 25th – THE BOTTOM END – BUY TIX
Cutters DJs (Cut Copy) / Knightlife / Tornado Wallace
Nile Delta / Noise In My Head / Francis Chang
SYDNEY – FRIDAY DECEMBER 2nd – GOODGOD – BUY TIX
Cutters DJs (Cut Copy) / Knightlife / Das Moth
Tunnel Signs / Francis Chang
And just because it’s extremely on-topic…
Presenting you another option to spend this momentous spiritual evening known as 11/11/11. The “Treat You Right” crew is back for an another enlightening endeavour, totally doing it all just “for the love of it”. Hopefully this blog-post fulfills the duty of being your backup “wake up call”, if you were totally unaware of the “11:11″ prompts on the bed-side clock, courtesy of your fun loving-spirit guardian(s).
Those spinning discs on the night would be the usual TYR suspects: Leslie Salvador, Mayo (& Hendy Kana), Richard Kelly, and joining them is Thomas Henderson, Gambol & Cavort, and myself (reppin’ the Waves at Night team). Normally using the Buffalo Club as their stamping ground, this party can in fact be found at the Mercat Basement – attendance fee equates to nothing at all. That’s right, no need to fuss over that door fee. However, parking meter $$ that can be found in your car’s secret coin compartment(s) are acceptable (basically, gold coin donation is optional).
