We really took some care to select these 40 tracks, this playlist has been weeks in the making, take very good care of it, comment below and let us know what you think.
Smash TV‘s EP, Steroids to Heaven was nothing short of phenomenal and it comes as no surprise that the remixes are brilliant as well. Pol_On, Kiki, and Hector all rework Steroids to Heaven, with each artist adding their own unique stylistic approach to the already incredible original EP. I’m particularly digging Smash TV’s rework of Made for Eachother.
We’ve got (2) names you need to get used to this year. Ex-member of Light Year now called Jensen Interceptor just remixed the ex-member of Hey Today! now called Nickel. That’s all I’m personally gonna tell you about Jensen because the bio on his facebook is more than amazing and needs to be read:
INCREDIBLE CAPTION + FREE DOWNLOAD after the jump!
The Jensen Interceptor is a sporting GT (Grand Techno) classic hand-built in the United Kingdom Of Sydney by Jensen Productions between 1985 till present. The Interceptor or Jensen or Ji as he is known by his piers is the hairiest man in techno today & no doubt his spastic dance rhythms will certainly raise yours (pubic hair that is). In his earlier years he was a mechanic, engineer, sticker collector & bitchumen sniffer. However Jensen is best known for being one of the four corners behind Turbo Records newest acid techno signing AUSTRALIA & also for being one half of the suedo kitch dance funk force known as Light Year. In a recent interview Jensen was asked what he would like to achieve with his music and djing and his reply was simple “to turn gay people straight and straight people gay”. The Jensen sound can be described as minimal according to maximalists and maximal according to minimalist, either way its clear the Interceptor has found the perfect balance of vibe needed to please any crowd.

Just as I had expected, the Scottish highlander Polymath is already taking 2012 by storm. This weekend he released the bleeping monstrous tune ‘Pringo’ absolutely for FREE on his soundcloud. Also, his remix of Mason‘s ‘Superimposer’ made the cut among huge remixes by Harvard Bass, Zombie Disco Squad, and Arveene & Misk. The official EP statment said that “Polymath takes things into hands in the air territory with a mix combining some funk assed-breaks, a huge metallic bassline and some utter bonkersness.” So go ahead and grab ‘Pringo’ from our exclusive download, and check out the remix preview below!
You should pay attention to WOVEN RECORDS, a label based here in Winnipeg and Montreal. Over the past six months or so they’ve released a handful of releases that stare benality in the face and smack it about.
The first here is the standout – a totally unexpected pair of tunes from BEAUCHAMP. Having been to his events since 2005 I’d crown this Winnipeg native as the indie dance / nu disco king. He’s had his hands in nearly every event worth going to and dare I say, started a resurgence of indie-minded dance culture in this fare city. With his past in mind these atmospheric dubby tracks need to be heard.
LA’s young gun and GDD familiar URULU has just released ‘The Untitleds’ EP for absolutely FREE. The rising producer has recently become apart of Faceless management, alongside Prince Club, Poupon and Meech. As a token of his gratitude to listeners, he presents this to you: “3 singles, all unreleased and previously unheard of, kept in the depths of my hard-drive until now. Enjoy, and thanks for following.”
