Okay I am probably so incredibly late on this but its too good to not post up again. We all know that “My Girls” was on the top of nearly everybody’s best of 2009 list but this remix is just perfect for DJs to keep the dancefloor going. Mike Monday takes that repeating spacey chord thingy and builds it into a climax. Doesn’t really stray too incredibly far from the remix but is just a really great dance friendly remix of an already awesome song. Definitely give it a listen.

5ive 4or Friday
Another week leads to another weekend and I am knackered. Not so much that I can't at least bust out a little 5ive 4or Friday for my faithful. Here's a bit of what I may play when Voules and I hit it up this week Thursday at Goodform downtown. (Pics - Chris Searl)


The Juan Maclean 'Happy House' gets the best upgrade (not that it needed it) from Will Saul and Mike Monday. The single also has remixes from Lazaro Casanova, VHS or Beta, Chateau Flight, Paul Woolford and Matthew Dead w/Audion.

Then its off to the Alex Gopher and a massive remix by Dada Life who keep building on their reinvented sound from 08 with this heavy rave edition snippet electro. Very start-stop and utilizing great drum leads to create thei progressions.

What can I say about Afrojack, umm always techy and clinical with leading edge minimalist tendencies which normally bore but here they bite. Check out Silvio's space here.

Smoothing things out for you tonight is Jori Hulkkonen (whom I've heard of) with Hannulelauri (Whom I have not) The 'Glittering Night' Ep from the Fins is a pure slice of pop heaven that only gets better with Jori's intervention.
