Memoryhouse’s debut album, The Slideshow Effect isn’t out until February 28th, but the band keep it fresh on our minds every time they drop an MP3. After their Zombies cover, “This Will Be Our Year” and first single “The Kids Were Wrong,” the band share “Walk With Me,” a languid and gorgeous piece of dream pop that recalls their early material.

We’ve hooked up with our friends at Transmission to present this sweet FFF Nites afterparty in Austin on Saturday, November 5, at Empire Automotive on E. 7th. Starring Neon Indian, Memoryhouse, Purity Ring, and Keep Shelly in Athens. Like all of the FFF Nites festivities, the party is FREE with your Fun Fun Fun Fest wristband, but get there early, as it’s first come / first served.

Ontario based dream pop outfit Memoryhouse released The Years EP last September, a short 4-track record that runs barely over twelve minutes, but with songs as ethereal and beautiful as “To The Lighthouse,” it was more than enough to captivate them a decent sized following. The duo have recently signed to Sub Pop — our favorite label of the year — who are re-issuing a remastered, re-recorded edition of the record which will include two brand new songs, “Modern, Normal” and “Quiet America.”
