DESIGNER DRUGS + JESSE JAMZ

07 26 2010

Jesse Jamz

As it turns out, JESSE JAMZ is an assistant to DESIGNER DRUGS, or so I read on twitter earlier today. I’m not exactly sure how that relationship works but his remix of “Drop Down” is diced quite nicely, leaving chunks to chew under the flash of a strobe.

ELITE FORCE: NEW SINGLE & MIXTAPE

07 07 2010

Several months back now, Elite Force ran a little competition on his facebook page asking for suggestions on new tracks to Revamp, with the winner grabbing one of the top-end  ‘Revamped’ packages from the Elite Force site and the winning entry came from Ivano Knight who suggested Midnight Juggernauts’ ‘Tombstone’. Well, grab the result below.

The latest single from ELITE FORCE, a collection of three remixes for “Law of Life” is a must-have for anyone looking for something to stomp to. Elite Force himself sums it up best as “battleweapon electro techno filth gnarly bass monster.” I think he forgot breaks, but maybe that’s being redundant.

Grab it from beatport.

He also released a new mixtape. Grab the tracklist after the jump.

BOYS NOIZE + THE SEXINVADERS

06 09 2010

Honestly, the theme tonight is completely coincidental. That last post was quite something, hey?

Here’s a heavy bootleg from THE SEXINVADERS who add their own maximal flavour to BOYS NOIZE.

DRAKE + DWIGHT WHITE + HYPER CRUSH

04 26 2010

I have to admit, I don’t think I’ve heard the original DRAKE tune, but it doesn’t matter when there are bootlegs like these sent our way.

First, here’s a bootie remix from a local dj / promoter who has exploded in Winnipeg. RIC HARD has his finger in every party pie. The thing that makes this remix stand out is the piano that compliments the solitaire melancholic message in the track. It’s all juxtaposed with maximal punching bag of drums and synth targeting this is one both for the dancefloor and the bedroom.

MP3: Drake – Over (Ric Hard remixxx)

LA’s HYPER CRUSH take a slightly different approach. They take the sadness and smash it in the teeth with their dancefloor laser beams, transforming the tune into a sleazy electro banger. To top it off, they add their own rhymes.

Tex Taiwan

Tex Taiwan
The kids want Electro-Punk! And that’s what they’ll get from new Belgian group TEX TAIWAN. In the footsteps of acts such as KAP BAMBINO & CRYSTAL CASTLES comes another sonic assault of scream-fuckery & synthtopia. An epic remix from YOU LOVE HER COZ SHE’S DEAD shows that thoughtful use of pitch correcting software can sometimes give a track that little extra sparkle. <3
The Album hits the shelves on June 21st care of GLASSTONE RECORDS.

NROTB aka (NEW RAVERS ON THE BLOCK)

02 08 2010

It’s too bad NROTB weren’t called the New Ravers On The Blog, because, given the times the producer handle would seem so appropriate.

The Montreal producers have been on top of things for a while, and I’ll be completely honest here, since “Droplet” and “Miam Miam” were let loose in the summer, I’ve been trigger happy with every track with their name on it. There’s enough nostalgia in each of these tunes for a thirty-something-once-upon-a-time-raver (that’s me by the way) to, excuse me, fucking lose it. Add some of the best production of 2009 to the mix and well, it seems as though there are a million reasons to hail this release the best ever. Really, ever.

Wait.

On Friday, February 5, 2010 the single gets an official release on PLANT MUSIC with remixes from FELIX CARTAL and AUTOEROTIQUE, and well, I gushed all over the place. Basically, I died and somehow living off of the single’s perpetual beat.
