excentric stockholm based duo purpl pop have released a remix of the classic american song writer marvin gaye song ‘lets get it on’. they add a nice nu disco influenced sound to this unusual choice in remix and their own vocals over the top. this essentially creates all in all a very nice summer tune if you are in that season of the world.

Innervision’s Dixon has an unofficial release on the obscure Philomena label which features two great edits – Romanthony’s ‘The Wanderer’ (contains kick drum and bassline sample from ‘Martin Buttrich – Hunted’) and on the flip is Lykki Li’s ‘Dance Dance Dance’. Massive. Try and find this although I think the 12″ quite sold out.

Los Massieras is a re-edit project formed by two Berlin DJs aiming to bring “a fresh approach to the art of bastardization.” ‘Boogity Boogity Boogity’ is their first EP, which also launches the new label Banamania. Anyone who knows me personally knows that I love a nice ripe banana and this release is no exception (and no readers, that remark isn’t suggesting anything fishy…). Mutant discooooowww.
