It's the Supersound

Not only is Miami-based DJ Craze a master of turntablism (he’s the only solo DJ to win 3 consecutive DMC Championships), but he has the producer and labelhead roles down as well. He’s teamed up with Kill The Noise in the past couple years to launch the rapidly growing label, Slow Roast Records, where artists such as Codes, Klever, Señor Stereo, and, of course, the labelheads have released top notch EPs. Most recently, Craze released his latest EP, Dance Alone, on August 30th, and he put together a rockin’ promo mix and music video to go along with it. A couple months back, I introduced you to Miami's newest dubstep threat, Caligula. They ended up winning the 'M.I.A. - Steppin' Up' remix competition outright and were treated to a few days in the Red Bull studio in LA working on their upcoming EP due out this Fall on the OVERTHROW record label. I have two of their most recent remixes. One pays homage to Miami's most notorious janitor Rick Ross, and the other is their submission for Klever and Kill The Noise's 'Tuff as Nails' remix competition. Both are enough to keep you buzzing through this Monday.

That's right Los Angeles electronic lovers, this Friday the lovely people at CONTROL will be providing you with a trio of talent consisting of DMC Turntablist Champion and CONTROL frequenter DJ Klever, the multi-talented Ottawan duo Jokers of the Scene, and a much anticipated live performance by the energetic Icelandic dance group, Steed Lord. This is definitely a big one that you won't want to miss.

As if working with DJ Benzi wasn’t already enough for newcomer Stranger Day, his debut release “Young, Dumb & Dope” includes production, features and remixes from Chip Tha Ripper, Playboy Tre, Hollywood Holt, Klever, Skeet Skeet, Emynd, Benzi & Jams F. Kennedy of  Brother Reade.  To classify his sound would be a blur somewhere between backpack, trap rap and electro party jams.  A Native of Charlotte, NC; Stranger Day is known for making music and throwing parties that continue into the sunrise.  “Young, Dumb & Dope” is a fine compliment to anything involving a party (i.e. drinking &/or smoking)…please note that extra livers & lungs are sold separately.
