WZRD (say it like) is Kid Cudi’s new band with longtime collaborator Dot da Genius; the same project Cudi said will change the face of music. The MC has decided to back his hyperbolic words up with something tangible. Late last night, Cudders tweeted a download link for the first ever WZRD song, “Brake”. Listen and download below:

Kid Cudi’s latest offering “To Da Top” is an older but previously unreleased track in his oeuvre, and you’ll be able to tell that from the first second he starts rapping (that weird beatboxed freestyle at the beginning is a hint at Cudi’s growing avant-garde sensibility that the rest of the song doesn’t quite live up to).

If there are four things you never expected to hear in one sentence, they would probably be “Shia LaBoeuf,” “Kid Cudi,” “ten-minute short film” and “serial killers.” But lo and behold, Shia LaBoeuf just directed a ten-minute short film about serial killers starring and featuring a score by Kid Cudi. And if you’re still not wowed – it’s in French.
