On a Sunday night, in a beach town not so far away from you, I cracked open a Pacifico and began to ponder what I would do as the elusive evening drew closer and city lights began to flicker on. I decided to soul-search and ate a few silver-striped mushrooms out of an old embroidered Chinese box I had hidden beneath the dock. As I walked along the beach, the sand softly tickled my toes and the waves crashed in a perfect symphony. Just then, Poseidon’s froth had washed something hard up onto my foot. It was a glistening whiskey bottle; Jameson’s own to be exact. I opened it up, expecting a rich carmel liquid to engulf my soul and warm it from the inside out. However, out fell a flash drive where the words “Gooch-Tape #1″ were engraved. It was a sign; a sign that good things were coming. A sign that the warmth and sun-kissed poolside jams of summer would flow into the colorful world autumn had to offer. Warm your soul and paint your walls gold!

Jamiroquai's lackluster new album, Rock Dust Star Light, gets completely overshadowed by the Fred Falke edit of single, Blue Skies, which appears on the deluxe edition. Mixes of White Knuckle Ride also top the original, and can be heard here.
Lesson to be learned: remix every new Jamiroquai song ever, and therein you find success.

Yes, yes, yes, please and thank you very much, good sir! Jamiroquai's latest single, White Knuckle Ride, sat in the meh-ddle of the road for me in terms of listening and loving (in original form), however when we got those Penguin Prison and Monarchy remixes a few weeks prior, well, shit got turned up to 11.
Today, we revisit the song, thanks to Alan Braxe and his sexy lil' fix of the track. Subdued and sublime disco...just as expected.
What a way to start this gorgeous Friday morning! The weather is absolutely bananas beautiful in NYC, and the temperature is starting to rise thanks to two remixes of Jamiroquai's newest cut, White Knuckle Ride. The original song will be included on the band's forthcoming seventh studio album, Rock Dust Light Star, which will see a proper release in November (at least in the UK, while we still await the US out date).
As mentioned, the new song is floating around in a few different iterations, but today, I'm on the edge of my seat with anticipation because I simply cannot wait for you to grab these two fine fixes. Coming courtesy of two of my most favorite "newer-ish" beasts of approval, Penguin Prison and Monarchy handle the remixing reigns, and they do it with class, finesse, and disco pop beats for days.
They are both free for you and me. They are both delicious and yummy. They are the hotness!
