After the great success of the Mystery Mix competition on Discobelle that we did together with DJ Neoteric (DJ/Producer and A&R for Dubsided) the idea for making it into a compilation came up, since most of the tracks were unreleased. It later grew into something bigger where Neoteric dug in his vaults, and put his ears to the street to gather this collection of great club tracks from friends and artists he’s been working with over the years. There’s something for everyone on this compilation, from speaker mashers, to house groovers, to pounding techno music, this compilation has it all! With early support for Crookers, Annie Mac, Brodinski, Jaymo & Andy George, MSTRKRFT, LA Riots, Malente and many others! Keep an eye out for its release, May 18th!
“The compilation rocks and Crookers are the biggest Italian Funky pizza ever!” /Crookers
“This is simply SICK …love so many tracks on it!!” /Brodinski

Pony Pony Run Run had the best idea to help promote there new release, You Need Pony Pony Run Run. They had their lead single remixed by a ton of the hottest names in the scene and then gave it away for free. The track “Walking On a Line” features remixes from French Fries, Highbloo, Mikix The Cat, Raziek, Beataucue, Lifelike, Blata & Inesha, The Subs, and Surfing Leon. There’s something for everyone on the remix collection, from raved-up electro house to accordion-fueled booty beats to popped up dubstep to… Well, you get the idea. I picked out my favorites, but if you want the rest of the release, head over to the bands website. The full-length record will be released June 15th.
On inaugure.
French electropopsters in Pony Pony Run Run, are returning after their superhit “Hey You” (which we’ve mentioned here on Discobelle in the past) and also their Victoire de la Musique (the French equivalent to a Grammy award) with new single “Walking On A Line”. The new track has remixes for miles, we’re glad to be able to give you these two remixes from two fresh French producers who have already begun to make some major noise. HighBloo and Raziek each gives you their take on the new single where Belgian youngin HighBloo stretches out the original version galavanting into more of that bouncy Dutchlike house territory and Montpellier bad boy Raziek transforms it with the help of hypnotic accordions into a Funana sounding tune.
BONUS 2: They’re holding a remix contest with the people over at mxp4, it goes on until April 26th and the best remix selected by the band will win a b-side spot on the digital release + runner-up prizes such as signed vinyls, concert tickets, t-shirts, and stuff. Check this page for more info.
More mayhem from this 19 year old from Belgium who is showing us that the kids are gonna be alright. New schools of thought are being pursued which is a huge relief. With its off time pads and synths, windup hooks, and that Pellegrino style sound 'Ouchhh! by HighBloo is yet another slice of world beat house that's unmistakable. 'Yijki' keeps the floor movin even further into space with its snipped african bush man vocals strewn about a bouncey bass kick saturated with plenty of low oHm sustain.. More brand new brilliance from our buddy HighBloo from Belgium with '50cl' and a remix of Daniel Haaksman's beautifully constructed afro tech house track 'Kid Conga'. Morphed vocals and squelchy bass sections all show off the new school with sounds similar to Afrojack or Renaissance Man. This up and comer seems to have his finger on the pulse of the beat right now cuz he can't miss and is keeping stride with some of the biggest names in the biz with his crisp beats..
From the land of one of my favorite artists comes one of my 'new' favorite artists. I was speaking of Goose and I am now speaking of HighBloo from Hainaut, Belgium. I tend to use the word favorite artist alot around here but I try to spit hot fyah whenever I can on these pages and today is no exception.
Electrotech from Belgium rules here with an abundance if squiggles, blips, cut, run-ups, and electro pecking your fucking brain out. Half way through 'Effective' is probably the nuttiest breakdown of 09 hands down charting way up there with Tiga's 'What You Need'. 'Untitled' does an brilliant impersonation of NIN's Broken & Fixed sounds with abrasive pads and synths that reek of straight techno but have a certain danceability that most obscure stuff never has. Finally its 'Onions' has an almost Shadow Dancer quality but replaces the 90's bass with a zipper bass that sounds more like d'n'b from Hospital records circa 99 rather than electro from 09. All around worth a listen. Hit up his myspace and show this unsigned wiz some weblove.
