Manchester’s HEAVYFEET promised they’d give away their remix of “I Still Love You” and well, they have. It’s a gorgeous house tune with shades of garage wrapped in flare of yesterday.
Manchester’s busiest production and DJ duo, HEAVYFEET, deliver the latest seasonal mixtape. The pair are known for their diversity across the low-end spectrum, so as expected there’s a bass-focused mix of house, garage, and breaks.

About a week ago, HeavyFeet let los their remix of I Still Love You, the knockout tune by Swich and Andrea Martin. This mix is worth picking up.
While on a three week tour of Australia and New Zealand in April, HeavyFeet got together with their good friend, Melbourne’s very own, Nick Thayer, and noodled in the studio. They round out the bassline in the classic track from BASEMENT JAXX, giving the house tune a slight makeover. “Red Alert,” is the first of their studio collaborations to be showcased, and comes with love and support from us and nearly everyone else.
Peep the tune in the player below, then grab the download from Bandcamp.
Following HEAVYFEET’s debut release on Plant Music last fall, the Manchester lads return with a second offering. The four-track EP’s sonic strength comes from combining forward thinking heavy house, grown-up garage and well-executed club flavors. While these are genres we’re all familiar with, I’d venture to say the combination of the sounds results in tunes that stand on their own. In my mind it’s absolutely forward thinking and I don’t think I’ve heard anything like it – HeavyFeet and Plant Music deliver the rather excellent Intimidating The Neighbors EP.
The fine folks at Plant have been kind enough to offer the lead track as a free download (check the SoundCloud player below).

HEAVYFEET are finishing a project called Manchester : Remixed. For most of July they remixed eight current Manchester-associated bands and songwriters. From international touring acts, to less prominent, more underground talent, the project focuses on presenting a remixed snapshot of what the city of Manchester has to offer an international audience. All eight remixes will be showcased exclusively as part of a special remix-focused BBC Introducing show on Sunday 7th August via BBC Radio Manchester. The remixes will be made available for free download at a later date as well.
To get things going they let loose their remix of Delphic’s ‘Doubt.’ Check the tune out below and find more info about the project here.
