No, this isn’t about the Cudi song. I just thought it was a cool way of saying new stuff. Anyway…
You know that song they always play on TV? And like at baseball games? And like when a band comes onto stage? You think it’s from some Tarantino movie. Yeah me too. For so long, literally since the year 2000 I have wanted to know what that song is. To be honest, most of you probably know. But I didn’t, well at least not the name. Anyway, it’s Misirlou by Dick Dale, and it’s from Pulp Fiction, which I still need to see. As a little bonus I’ve added in a DnB remix of it.

Keeping to the DnB theme is the new track from Underworld. You’re probably wondering what the hell I’m on about. Underworld? Drum & Bass? But yes you heard right, and the reason for that is that the house legends have enlisted Welsh DnB demi-God High Contrast to produce their latest track Scribbles, and what a track it is. I actually first heard it on the radio in some kind of head shop place but it was pretty good and I managed to find it, and now you can hear it too.

Back on the classic tracks you don’t know the name of theme is Code of the Streets by Gang Starr. Another track I’ve been after for aeons I think this is one of the greatest hip hop songs ever written. I just didn’t know the name. I’ve finally found it, and I can kickback and chill to it, at long last.

Staying with classic hip-hop I’m bringing up some Public Enemy. Featuring on Skate 2, Harder Than You Think comes from the album How You Sell Soul to a Soulless People Who Sold Their Soul? and is one of those great jazzy hip hop songs which make you wanna grab hold of a ghetto blaster and march away into the sunset.

On the other end of the scale from Hip-Hop is Twilight, which I can honestly say I’ve never seen. Anyhow, bad as it looks, Twilight sure knows how to make an awesome soundtrack, which has leaked onto the internet. The two standout tracks for me are a new effort from Florence & The Machine, called Heavy In Your Arms as well as the excellent new track from the aptly Vampire Weekend, Jonathan Low.

Right that’s about all I’ve got folks, I hope you enjoy it, and do drop me a comment underneath.
