MP3: "Sol" (Polarsets Remix) - Mausi [exclusive]

“The waves ≠ raves consists of hand-picked gems that inspire us, tickling and tempting our creative juices. Some are old, some are new, but it is what we are listening to now. They are groovey, flowing, and sun-kissed just like that perfect wave. They are uplifting and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. They sound the best with a babe in one hand, a cold brewski in the other, and the sand beneath your feet. Stay Dreamy.”

Been too busy clocking in and out at work to soak up all the MP3s on Stoney Roads this week?
Never fear as we kick off a weekly MP3 wrap on everything that went down (or posted up in this case), from Erol Alkan and Boys Noize, Monkey Safari, Flosstradamus, Zombie Disco Squad, The 2 Bears and more!
Sydney doubles down as The Finger Prince and Light Year toss ‘wuss’ aside for their remix of Erol Alkan & Boys Noizes rampant track “Lemonade”.
Ditto Farley, who i suspect is New Zealand resident Daniel Farley has put an edit out of Monkey Safari‘s new EP single ‘Fat Papa’.
Don’t know what trap-house-trance is? Do know who Flosstradamus are? Well not a bad trade off for the freebie “Total Recall” from the Fools Gold-ers.
Zombie Disco Squad aka Nathaniel Self and Lucas Hunter are trying their trade at some rolled out vocal house with the help of Spoek Mathambo.
The ‘Work’ remix by Frog in Socks rolls out like a cheeky trip to the woods with Yogi Bear. Some simple prods, a fair bit of shuffle through precussion and the signature style vocals of 2 Bears makes for deliciousness.
By pulling from a vast array of source material (Radiohead, The Rolling Stones, The Moody Blues, Sublime), and molding it into their unique brand of dance-floor classics, They have established themselves as a dominant force in EDM circles and have received recognition and praise from tastemakers worldwide.
Round Table Knights add an unusually very Aussie indie feel with a remix of London resident Tyson.
Those lucky enough to catch BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge on the 6th would have been treated to SBTRKT(aka Aaron Jerome) covering Friendly Fires “Blue Cassette”.
Whats in store for next week?

Those lucky enough to catch BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge on the 6th would have been treated to SBTRKT (aka Aaron Jerome) covering Friendly Fires “Blue Cassette”.
In an ultimately well perceived cover, Aaron completely owns his version of the ever-popular single from the energetic Friendly Fires.
It’s still got the high hats and clashing symbols, just a UK, post-dubstep gleen applied, phwoar!
SBTRKT – Blue Cassette (Friendly Fires cover, Live on BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge) by Young Turks

To ring in the last month of the year, we have The Dirt #55 that should be on repeat throughout your weekend. Grab our all of our picks in the .zips below, then catch commentary and GDD™ exclusives after the jump!

Sweet FA’s picks:
Kicking things off with two slow burners, the first by a rising Chicago house producer Savile, who’s set to release his next EP via Urulu‘s new Amadeus imprint. Here’s a remix of Monarchy that Savile’s giving away on his soundcloud:
Monarchy – Gold In The Fire (Savile’s Falling Up Mix)
UK’s Halls of Classic is another young up and coming producer, set to release his ‘Freedom/Failure To Launch’ double A-side on Metamimetic in 2 weeks time. In the lead up to the release, our pals at Meta are giving away B-side ’201′ for free via their soundcloud:
GDD Exclusive:
Today The Magician sent over his new remix for London indie-popster Wolf Gang. The track will feature on Wolf Gang’s new EP entitled ‘Stay and Defend’, and sees the original pared back and given a tropical makeover. The track kicks in proper around 1.40 and if like me, you’re in a wet and windy London apartment, it’ll alleviate those Autumn blues by transporting you to a beach paradise, if only for 4 minutes:

Moving on to something quite a bit harder, the new Crackboy EP on Cliche is definitely worth a look. ‘Something For’ is a dirty slab of sample driven electro-house that is guaranteed to go off on the dancefloor:
Crackboy – Something For [Buy it on Beatport]
KiNK‘s most recent remix for Gingy & Bordello is a frenetic piece of 303-driven electro-house and one of the biggest tunes I’ve heard all year. This is a guaranteed destroyer of minds and dancefloors, and is out now on Turbo sub-label, Twin Turbo:
Gingy & Bordello – Body Acid (KiNK’s on Acid Remix) [Buy it on Beatport]
Since Troy Kurtz threw up ‘Surph’ in last week’s Dirt 54, I’ve been giving a lot of play to Rustie‘s new album. Huge fan of the record as a whole, and can’t get enough of this:
