As everyone would probably know by now one of my favorite genres is kuduro. From the heavy snares to big percussions to the dope synths, the high energy of kuduro cannot go unnoticed, let’s not even talk about how amazing the dance is. Jairo Mendez teamed up with Caballo and released about a week or two ago this wicked Kuduro inspired by our very own island instrument which is the Tambú, also very well-known as playing a huge role Curacao’s music history. Grab the track below and check out what this crazy tambú inspired kuduro track will do to your body.
Poor old Softlightes, looks like Modular wasn’t too amped on their new record.
But the good news for you and me (but not you) is that the San Diego twee-popsters aren’t taking this slap to the crotch lying down – they’re going guerilla. They’re printing out flyers and dropping them in the school stairwell. They’re sticker-bombing the local Starbucks. They’re hiring a van and painting SOFTLIGHTES on the side panels and driving around densely populated strips of San Diego. They’re making a Soundcloud and saying “Hey Pav, fuck you, this record would have scored you so much rack. So enjoy having slightly less rack than usual, because we’ve gone guerilla and dropped this record FOR FREE”. Read the full story here.
Here’s a few choice cuts – kinda sounds a bit Death Cab. Get in there before the band are prompted to buy a Premium account and downloads cap out: Lovers can break by Softlightes
Straight out of UK comes a fresh tune by Jake Churchill aka Stuff, who will get you to wine up and grind up in a matter of seconds to his latest bass-filled smasher. Having played many shows alongside names such as Flux Pavillion, Skream & Benga, The Heatwave and more, Stuff definitely knows how to bring some heat to the dancefloor. Grab ‘Gun Ho’ below and prepare yourself to get dutty.
Just got this in the mail from our friendlies over at Technique Management, who recently acquired the infamous LA duo LAZRTAG onto their roster. To give back to the good people of the blogosphere, LAZRTAG have leaned the tempo on the infamous Tommy Trash banger to make a FREE killer bootleg out of one of the biggest tunes out right now. Think bagpipe fiesta.
El próximo 30 de enero saldrá Have Some Faith in Magic, la nueva producción de la banda escocesa Errors. Celebrando el día de muertos, los Errors nos regalan “Earthscore” el primer sencillo de ese nuevo disco, enjoy.
