another week gone by another friday for you to get excited about how much alcohol/substances you will ingest in an attempt to make the working week fade away into distant memory for it is the weeks end and you need to release. first up to get you awake and ready for the weekend is caspa remixed by doctor p, the original marmite its a pretty fast breaks style track but it is given the treatment by doctor p (who you may know for his track sweet shop) who grimes this up quite nicely, check it out.

Next drums of death a solo man/voodoo cursed zombie undead with a broken drum machine for a heart, signed to Joe Goddard’s (member of hot chip) party imprint greco-roman he has released a few singles you may have heard ‘got yr thing’ and ‘lonely days’, with plenty of remixes for you to search for to get an extra taste. but todays track is off his forthcoming album ‘generation hexed’ which was not what i was expecting but nice to see some variety in the tracks, ‘won’t be long’ is a bit techy, abit tropical and abit fun so get on it.

Ok so hiatus is over fridays are back i’m a bit more motivated this time and got some young hip and fresh and some old stale and out dated but im sure you’ll dig them. first up is Nick Annand & Greg Fleming AKA Deekline & Wizard who make some pretty nice club tunes, this one is featuring a badass vocal from one of my favourite producers dj assault, old skool electronica tops it off as a pretty dope tune, deekline is currently touring australia with only two shows left in melbourne and sydney be sure to check him out!

Next up is one half of mstrkrft JFK & St. Mandrew who have teamed up for a track called face pump and rightly so the original is a bit of a trasher which i’m finding a boring genre lately but all is forgiven with this remix from congorock who spruces this track up nicely check it.

part five brings me to a bit of a cross round, all out bangers are evolving into hybrid treats, bloody beetroots style trash electro in my eyes is a dying breed with the likes of uk funky, dubstep, tropical house and the hybrid treats mentioned above all bringing awesome tracks to the party.

kingdom is a dj/producer that i was lucky enough to catch back in may, he played some serious tunes uk funky, dub, tropical, dubstep you name it he played it to my delight most of tracks were unreleased, i have an original of his for you today called pathfinder which i grab from a scion A/V sampler which i downloaded from their site so get snooping. its a uk funky/techy style number with lots of bass and drums peppered with some synth for an all round nice package, check it.

next up, an amazing producer who is one to watch in the future lil silva produces uk funky, dubstep, grime infusions that move the booty to a large degree, seasons comes from lil silva’s ep night skanker which was released not to long ago, im not going to say much just listen its the goods.

Renaissance Man are heading back to australia for a tour to display some of there new wares, in sydney they will be playing the generic collective’s first birthday at the civic underground which is sure to be a blast!!! ok so last week was a non-event cause i had so much uni work to do, a big fist pump to no work for a couple of days, whilst i’ve been doing my uni and travelling i’ve been hooked on brodinski the man has no limits, djing what ever he pleases, i caught a mixtape of his posted over at LA friendly (the post doesn’t exsist anymore. atl link here) it was choc full of tracks that i was not expecting from this young gun of the new wave, if you have not heard it i’m not giving it away just check it.

there is some new heat on the block from brodinski titled ‘arnold classics’ which has been in many well known dj/producer charts for months, after plenty of waiting it has hit the streets, this is a rolling terror, be sure to check it.

next up is another brodinski track but with the added twist of some yuksek inspired beats and ebony bones featuring on vocals for a mixed bag of talent that gives us a nice outcome. The track is by ‘the krays’ aka yuksek and brodinski a new venture that i’m sure we are going to see a lot more of. this is for peak hour on the floor.

This friday has be clutching for straws albeit awesome ridiculous amazing multicoloured straws, French Fries is a producer that has caught the attention of many with remixes for bart b more and we have band and a bunch of unreleased beauties. ones im sure you can find with a little bit of creative searching. a young gun hailing from paris, france his first release Arma EP contains some big tropical techno tracks with remixes to match, beataucue do a number on this tropical tech upping the tempo and getting all ravey up in the place.
