Young house and techno producer Maya Jane Coles will be mixing the next DJ Kicks compilation.

As one of the leading female producers of current times and winner of the recent DJ Mag ‘Best Producer’ award it offers a sense of logic to hand the reigns over to the 24-year old for the !K7 compilation.

The mix will also feature an exclusive track “Not Listening” that only heightens our excitement for this to drop!

Los Angeles natives Thieves bring us a melodic and well constructed remix of Tyler Bates‘ single, Two Perfect Moments. Catchy vocals, well thought out sampling and complimentary synth lines give this remix an overall warm and groovy vibe that is impossible to resist.

•  Tube Lord – My First Castle (Lemmy Ashton Remix)
This remix has been blowing up the London club scene receiving support from the likes of Scarlett Etienne and many other artists. Lemmy Ashton‘s remix is of Tube Lord‘s single, My First Castle is pure fire! But don’t take my word for it, grab the track and play it out until your hearts content.

Philly based Moombah Original Records head honcho Jon Kwest has a massive compilation out today. Blending Moombahton with UK Hardcore, Dusk Mask features some well known names out there like Smutlee, Tactic, DJ Melo, Pickster One and more. Here’s Jon Kwest explaining about this project:

“I was around to hear these originals when they dropped, some of which even made the radio in Baltimore. I had an older sister who listened to house music and I recognized, even then, that most of the songs were just two existing popular house/techno records sped up with a Simon Harris break over it and i loved it! Not to say I didn’t love the original tunes, but something about just snatching something and making it new always appealed to me. There are a lot of parallels between UK Hardcore and Moombahton. Then they sped it up, now we slow it down. Some people hated it when they first heard it, then grew to love it. It was, and still is, all about a good nasty time! I can’t tell you how proud I am of this project. Despite their busy schedules, everyone really came through and showed their ass!”

Following the conception of their Heretic imprint, our friends at Rebel Magazine have just sent over their first compilation. Showcasing 12 tracks from 12 different artists including Mike Gao and Maribou State, the release features an impressive array of post-dubstep, tropical, and beats driven old school cuts. Best of all, the entire compilation is available for Free Download via the Rebel Mag Bandcamp so there’s really no excuse not to swing by and grab yourself a copy.

If you’re in LA this evening, Rebel Magazine are throwing a launch party for the Heretic release at the Ronin Gallery in Silverlake. It kicks off at 10pm and goes ’til 2 – Here’s a link to the Facebook event.
