Diddy recently completed work on an album with techno guru Guy Gerber under the moniker 11:11 and the remix package for ‘Tourist Trap’ features Visionquest, Soul Clap, this gem, and more. Personally, I think it’s great for the industry that Diddy is on board with such incredibly talented underground artists. Guy is calling the collab the “future of electronic pop.”

RAVE HOUSE

There’s really nothing quite like a big room Phoenix remix to generate a little movement in the lumber yard. The GTA boys have had this out for a minute, but just recently made it available for download. Click through to SoundCloud to grab it in all its glory!

I will always associate any rendition of this song with Mehdi. Pretty much the most absurd tagteam set ever was going down between Boys Noize, A-Trak, Busy P, Riton, Diplo and Mehdi at an Electric Zoo afterparty when one of the guys (I think Pedro) dropped ‘How Deep Is Your Love.’ The place went apeshit, I went upstairs to get a drink, and that’s the last memory I have of DJ Mehdi behind the decks. Hot off of some serious hype for his recent Woman Like Me EP Remixes, Chicago native Willy Joy is keeping it going with a massive fall mixtape featuring loads of new tracks and exclusives. another friday passes and another heat stroke inducing day making everyone in the sydney area generally crazier, plus the weather is the only thing people talk about when its this hot. the C90s released this quite awhile back but just dig it again. in true disco style it takes you through space on light airy synths, dreamy vocals and just a bit of jive to get you dancing. villa have given this a good remixing turning it from a dreamy disco tune to a disco-tech number brimming with piano and strings, don’t forget the drop at 3:59

move to the other side of the globe to chicago, where main house man of ‘percolator’ fame cajmere recently released a best of compilation called it’s time, which has some great jams on there so be sure to grab it. cajmere recently collaborated with gene farris another chicago house bro for a two track affair, ‘humming bird’ will warm the crowd up good and nice driving bass thats a bit over powering but the piano and vocal samples make up for that nicely.
