And now, Beth Ditto of The Gossip fame has devoted the video for “I Wrote The Book,” from her self-titled EP produced by Simian Mobile Disco, as a homage to Madonna’s iconic, steamy, sexually seductive “Justify My Love.”

March 8th Beth Ditto of Gossip will release a solo EP featuring collaborations with Simian Mobile Disco. She guested on their last album Temporary Pleasure so it’s a great mesh this time around, giving Beth a chance to strut her diva chords all over SMD’s skittering beats.

You can check out the video for standout “I Wrote the Book” over at Spin, and preview the entire EP on Soundcloud. The video was directed by Price James, who also directed Hercules & Love Affair’s “My House” video (he’s also done work for Peaches, Friendly Fires, We Have Band, and a lot more).
