Even if you’ve been living under a rock for the last year, there’s a good chance you still associate the name “Barbra Streisand” with a song by production duo Duck Sauce (or maybe Glee?) rather than, say, Yentl. Other than that mega smash hit though, and last year’s electro pop anthem “aNYway,” the project between DJ’s A-Trak and Armand Van Helden has not really moved forward, until now.

To officially kick things off in Colorado, we decided to start things off there with a proper bang!  In less than 2 weeks (2/2/2011), GottaDanceDirty.com alongside RedEye and ThisSongIsSick.com are bringing one of the most electrifying DJ’s in dance music today—Steve Aoki–to Boulder, CO at the Boulder Theater on Wednesday February 2nd.  Aoki is one of the few names that transcends both mainstream and underground dance music but his buzz has never seemed to die down mostly in part to his constant touring schedule, the success of his label Dim Mak (MSTRKRFT, Bloody Beetroots, PeaceTreaty, etc), and his recent collaborations with guys like Armand Van Helden (“Brrrat”), Sidney Samson (“Wake Up Call”), Afrojack (“No Beef”), or Laidback Luke & Lil’ Jon (“Turbulence”).

If you’ve ever seen Steve Aoki perform live, you know you will be getting your money’s worth—very few DJ’s put on as exciting performances as he does and we know this is going to be an awesome introduction to future events out in the Colorado area.
