Panda Bear’s Tomboy is a grower. We loved it when it came out, and it’s still growing on us. (Tempted to say its “growing with us”.) One of the tracks that is growing a bit quicker than the others is the incredible “Alsatian Darn”, so naturally I won’t miss an opportunity to share it.

As previously mentioned, we’re presenting Panda Bear’s rare TX date here in Dallas at the Granada Theater one week from today on Tuesday, September 27. The venue has hooked us up with 2 pairs of tickets to give away: just leave your name and your favorite Panda Bear-related song in the comments below, and I’ll pick the winners this weekend. In the meantime, you can still purchase tix here while they last. In other news, two great support acts have also been confirmed for this one: Silent Diane (whose new single is out now on True Panther) + Botany.

Gracias a su anterior material, "Le disc du Astrou", en donde venían extraordinarias canciones como "Hongo Atomic", la solemne "Le Golden Ballon", o la magnifica y admirable "Maestro Distorsión", la banda chilena Astro -muy comparada con MGMT, Animal Collective, e incluso con la banda neozelandese Rubicon- integrada por Andrés Nusser, encargado de la Producción, Post y el Montaje de su reciente video, Octavio Caviares, Daniel Varas, y un muy buen amigo y gran dj, Nicolás Arancibia, mejor conocido como "Lego", el cual tiene un proyecto electrónico como dj llamado Moustache! junto a su compañero de banda, Daniel Varas, mejor conocido como "Zeta" -amigos que hace aproximadamente 1 año, después de haber tocado en el Vive Latino 2010, estuvieron compartiendo tornamesas, en un gig de nuestros colegas de syntheticrocks, junto a los dj's y productores alemanes y portugueses Moullinex & Xinobi- acaba de lanzar el video de su sencillo "Ciervos", que vendrá en su próximo forthcoming LP y la cual me parece una canción ostensiblemente formidable.

Surprise: we are beyond psyched and honored to present an extremely rare + intimate Dallas performance from the man responsible for our favorite album of the last decade and one of the best records of 2011: Noah Lennox of Animal Collective, better known to most as PANDA BEAR.
