After several years of producing amazing music, the Californian duo of Gregory Bowler and Jamie McNiel, better known as Acid Girls, have decided that it’s time to retire the alias. As a goodbye gift, they’re dishing out a free album of track production ranging from 2006 all the way up until about a month ago. I thought it would be cool to post up my favorites and, not surprisingly, that was half of the album. Pick up said favorites below or grab the full release here.

A sad day… from Greg Acid Girls:

Jamie and I are playing our last show tonight, and we uploaded this album which consists of songs most of you have probably not heard, mostly.
I would appreciate it if you blogged it or whatever if you’re into it, just cos I really like a lot of these songs and think they deserve to be heard.
There is a track which was written in 2006 and is the first song I ever finished in Ableton, and the most recent one was finished just a month or so ago.

Here’s a full album of unreleased Acid Girls goodness. Merry Xmas and RIP.

If you’ve followed the blog in the past 2 years you’d know we were rather partial to LA’s forward thinking electro-ish producers, Acid Girls. It’s of no big surprise that we’d also enjoy Greg Bowler from the Acid Girls new project, Glass Actor. No, don’t fret, the Acid Girls are far from over. Glass Actor is a completely different animal, but still a beast. Exploring the realms of other worldly percussion and heartbroken synth work,Glass Actor is romantic club music with a futuristic R&B feel. Each track is amazing and a crucial journey for the listener to partake. He’s giving away some tracks for free, so please indulge.

He's back! The groovy Scot will be making another appearance this Friday at CONTROL in Hollywood along with LA's own Acid Girls and GDD™ friendly and 1/2 of Bubblegum Sci Fi, Anthony Ross. If you have still yet to see one of GRUM's performances, I highly recommend coming out to this event. Prepare to dance like you are in slow motion in a wind tunnel, with seductive sounds ubiquitous throughout the ample-spaced Avalon.

Human Life is a house producing electropop trio from l.A and they just wrapped up their EP “In It Together” on which they commissioned remixes from some talented producers (among them our homies in Acid Girls and the legendary Kris Menace). This digital only remix comes from Young Gunz affiliated Parisian producer Lazy Flow who goes into tribal ravey mode.

This morning I was going through my phase02 mailbox and discovered I missed a quite interesting message. It seems the LA based trio Human Life is going to release their debut single on the 7th of June. Three house legends joining forces mixing up their styles to a French Touch influenced Electro-Pop sound. Enjoy these remixes by the Acid Girls and Polygon Palace.
