premiere: Mikky Ekko – Kids

Here’s Mikky Ekko‘s Benny Blanco + John Hill-produced new single/anthem, which serves as the first official follow-up to his Clams Casino-produced “Pull Me Down” (although he’s also mixed in a pretty notable collab and subsequent Grammy performance with Rihanna and a moving, self-produced “ruff demo” as well). The immaculate, rousing “Kids” is out August 13; catch Ekko next month supporting the great Jessie Ware on a handful of dates in the UK.

Like all of the producer’s best work, the track has a warm glow that’s laced with just the right amount of late-night longing, and his label Ghostly correctly claims that it’s “fit for both large soundsystems and epic summer travels.” The Jetée / Desire single is out June 24 on Ghostly.
