Clark – Totems Flare
07 31 2009
If you read our blog regularly, you must have already known that we like Clark from Warp Records. Even if you weren't too sure about him before, it's worth a try to listen to him again because this time he might be more appealing to you!His new album "Totems Flare" is a quite interesting album. There are, of course, some very Clark-style tracks on it, although there are also some tracks with new styles too. Our favourite track from the album, which we are posting today, is "Rainbow Voodoo". It's just such a cool track that has hard electro sounds, also kind of Super Mario sounds. Now you must wonder what we mean by Super Mario sounds, just wait until 3:03 and then you'll understand ;-). This computer game sound also appears in the track called "Future Daniel"(not as much as Rainbow Voodoo though). There is another interesting track called "Luxman Furs". This is something that artists like Boys Noize, Siriusmo may make/play. It's a very nice dark, heavy, noisy track. Oh, of course there is "Growls Garden" in the album. Don't forget to check this one too!

Clark will be playing live in both of them. So, if you live near Sheffield or Tokyo, You should go and see it instead of us! More information is found here. You can get a copy of the album from Bleep, shops etc.

Killa Kela remixes
07 31 2009
Our friday just got a little better with the arrival of a promo mail containing two new remixes from Jakwob and Lifelike of the second single from UK artist Killa Kelas upcoming album “Amplified” (dropping September 21st). “Everyday” was produced by French house master Alan Braxe (co-creator of the Stardust dance anthem “Music Sounds Better With You”). The Jakwob remix sees Killa Kela getting the similar treatment as Ellie Goulding got earlier this spring where Jakwob brings it up a notch or two and bangs out a fierce dubsteppy remix track, whereas Lifelike decides to treat us to a classic sweeping synths and French house sounding remix.
Introducing: Atlantic Connection
07 31 2009
Atlantic Connection is an LA-based producer who also runs the indie label group Westbay Music Group, which focuses on urban electrosoul.

AC has been producing a few particularly fresh new artists and has released 2 promo singles to set the buzz ablaze! The tracks have a ghettoglam feel that will easily appease those looking for a club hopper while still maintaining a laidback “let’s roll the top down and go cruising” vibe.
Suggested listening is the beat heavy, synth laden and lyrically fiendish Big Shot, which features Julz and Tetris, 2 other LA cats. Or you can download the full promo single for Selfish, which features Jeff Rhodes, and Whisper, here and here respectively.
